CB Benetússer is a Spanish basketball club with more than 50 years of history and a solid presence in its local community. Despite this long-standing tradition, the club had never developed a women’s section until recently. Thanks to the guidance and support of its project partners, CB Benetússer has successfully embarked on this transformative process, which represents a milestone in its trajectory. In only three years, the club has evolved from having almost no female players to registering three full women’s teams in the current season. This growth will further expand next year with the incorporation of a complete Junior team that has decided to join the club after recognizing the strong commitment and dedicated work being carried out in the promotion of women’s basketball. The experience of CB Benetússer within BasketGirl therefore illustrates the project’s tangible impact, contributing to structural change and fostering greater inclusiveness in the sport.
